Advertising
Overview
Advertising allows players to draw attention to their server in an attempt to get other players to play and enjoy their server. Advertising on Minehut may include types of advertising such as:
- Advertising on social medias such as TikTok, Twitter, Instagram or YouTube.
- The
/advertisecommand (or/adfor short) in the Minehut Lobby. - The
#serverschannel in the Minehut Discord. - Online server lists, such as FindMCServer.
- The Server Advertisements forum on the Minehut Forums.
Social Media Advertising
A very popular way of advertising using social media is the use of short-form content. Server owners like to make videos drawing attention to their server by showing off its features, showing people enjoying it or giving reasons why the viewer should play the server. It has become increasingly effective with the rise of TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts which are designed specifically for short-form content. Often, giveaways are used to incentivise players into getting rewards on the server.
Lobby Advertising

The only way to advertise in the Minehut Lobby is to use the/adcommand. Failure to do so may result in a punishment to the user for Server Advertisement.
Players can use the /advertise or /ad command in the Minehut Lobby to show their server off to all the players in the lobby. The command has a cooldown of 2 minutes for all users, regardless of rank. Players with Paid Ranks are able to create special advertisement messages such as using colour codes or chat formatting codes. All advertisements in the lobby are clickable, so that the player can join the server easily.
Players can only issue advertisements a certain amount of times every 30 days. These numbers are as follows:
- Default: 10 ads / month
- VIP: 50 ads / month
- VIP+: 250 ads / month
- PRO: 500 ads / month
- Legend: 1000 ads / month
- Patron: 2500 ads / month
Additionally, if a player had a rank prior to March 14th, 2023, they have the following advertisements stacked on top of their present day rank:
- Legacy VIP: 15 additional ads / month
- Legacy Pro: 40 additional ads / month
- Legacy Legend: 80 additional ads / month
- Legacy Patron: 200 additional ads / month

Servers Channel
The Minehut Discord has a #servers forums channel in which you can create your own post for your server. Here, you can chat with the community, post updates, and collect feedback.
But make sure to read and follow the channel's post guidelines or your post may get deleted. The post guidelines include:
- Your post title must include the name of your server
- Servers must be on Minehut
- Only share Server IPs that have Minehut in the IP
- Do not share your server more than once
- Do not share Discord links or direct people to your Discord
- No bumping. You're free to reply to old posts, but you must be contributing to the post and not just sending a message (a word, image, emoji, etc) to bump the post to the top.
💡 Pro Tip: if your post looks like spam, you're unlikely to get players. Talk about why your server is great, what you have planned, and try to build an authentic community.
FindMCServer
FindMCServer is the Official Minecraft Server List made by GamerSafer. You can add your server to this website for it to be viewed by others. You can unlock special badges for your server to make it stand out from the server. They also have a page for you to advertise your server events.
Server Advertisement Forum
The Minehut Forums has a special category for players to advertise their servers in which thousands of players view monthly. You can find that category here. When making a post in that category, make sure to follow all of Minehut's rules.
