Overview

Lifesteal servers were popularized by popular Minecraft content creators. One such instance is the Lifesteal SMP, you can read more about that here.

Lifesteal on Minehut is one of the most popular servers with player count totals for the entire category regularly surpassing over 900 players. A Lifesteal server is more generally an SMP with a larger emphasis placed on PvP that can in some instances resemble factions server with many of the same money-making mechanics and hidden bases.

Main Concept

Players can steal health from other players by defeating them in combat. This increases their health (usually by 1) and decreases the victim's health (usually by 1). Many servers employ a maximum number of hearts and temporarily ban the player once they reach 0 hearts. In some servers, it's also possible to craft hearts using very expensive and rare items.

Many of these servers include clans, crates, quests, and much more! Lifesteal Servers are very heavily focused on PvP and many use mob spawners as their main means of generating money.
