Ports will be available on all paid servers.
Ports enable fun and useful plugins like:
- Votifier – set up voting rewards for server lists
- Simple Voice Chat – proximity voice chat
- Dynmap – google maps-like view of your Minecraft world
The team has solved some major technical challenges to enable ports on Minehut and we're so excited to see how you put them to use.
Lowered time limit on free servers
When first established time limits on free servers in October, our motivation was to establish a long term stable future for Minehut by reducing costs and driving more adoption of paid server plans. We also lowered the price of paid server plans and began investing more of the team's time towards improving paid server plans.
Here is the impact that this has had:
- We've hit an all time high of paid server plans and are seeing record breaking daily growth.
- More people are spending time in the Minehut Lobby and exploring community servers.
All that said, there is still more work to do to establish a long term future for Minehut. With that in mind, we are updating the time limit from 4 hours to 2 hours on free servers plans. We will monitor the impact that has on the usage of free server plans and iterate from here.
Coming soon: lowered price of custom server plan specs
In the coming weeks, we plan to lower the cost of custom server plan specs like RAM and CPU to be similar to the new lowered prices of standard plans.
