Skript

Skript is a popular open source Minecraft plugin that allows server admins to customize their server easily, but without the hassle of programming a plugin or asking/paying someone to program a plugin for them.

Usage on Minehut

Skript's popularity grew on Minehut because of the limitations Minehut used to have. Minehut did not support custom plugins until August 3rd, 2021. Before that, players could only select and use plugins from a predetermined list available on the dashboard and Skript was one of these plugins. Players used this to add custom features to their servers. Free servers also had a limit of only 12 plugins at the time and Skript allowed players to recreate multiple plugins with one so they don't reach that limit. And even with the release of custom plugins, servers continued to use Skript on their servers since it was something they were already used to and it was easier than creating a custom plugin.
